The wait will soon be over, Cassey Wooden own talk show on DEPN. What could be better?
The entertainment company made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon, less than two months after releasing the blockbuster book The Making of a Child of Destiny “The Andretta Tillman which details the behind the scene rise of Beyoncé and Destiny’s Child.
It’s an exciting time for Cassey Wooden right now. The new Dousic project does seem like a good match, with the relationship between Wooden and the Dousic management team spanning over 20 years, not to mention Wooden work with her charitable organization Wings, which includes clothing, food drives, fundraisers, and celebrity sponsored entertainment event. Who would be better than Cassey to bring ordinary peoples & celebrities together to Chit Chat with Cat?
DEPN and the future host of “Chit Chat with Cat” will introduce a weekly half-hour Web series slotted for Wednesday early-evening starting in fall 2014, according to a source with knowledge of the deal who spoke on the condition of anonymity because that person wasn’t authorized to comment publicly.
The new project is going in a slightly different direction, Wooden will host what the network describes as a “current events and culture talk show about Real People with Real Issues.
“We’ve been talking with Cassey for a while and can’t wait to bring her personality and eclectic interests to DEPN,” said Michael Ferguson, president of DEPN. “She’s got such passion, and carrying about what’s going on in the world, she demonstrates it when delivering interviews and hosting the show as only she can.”
A DEPN representative didn’t immediately respond Tuesday to a request for comment.
The inaugural program featured an interview with Brian K. Moore author of The Making of a Child of Destiny “The Andretta Tillman Story.”
After all that praise, there’s no way to not tune in at least for the premiere.
